Blue Cranes
A watercolour in tones of blues and greens of a trio of Cranes. Their plumage is enhanced with a touch of irridescent medium. The foliage on the bamboo is highlighted with silver. The bamboo and small pines are deliberately keep light and airy, so as not to detract from the main focus of the birds.

Original: SOLD

Dragonfly
A watercolour in tones of blues and greens of a dragonfly against a background of foliage. I have tried to keep the feel of this picture very soft to enhance the delicate tracery of the wings.

Original: SOLD

Elephants
Elephants crossing the plains at sunset. They are silhouetted against a violet shadowed sky with the evening sun breaking through the clouds

Original: SOLD

Full Stretch
I have two ponies of my own and love to watch them race around the paddock (sometimes the garden also!) just for the sheer fun of it.

Original: £150

Hungry Koi
Two hungry mouths popping out of the water. Golden orange Koi waiting for breakfast, their heads rippling the water. Familiar scene in our pond in early spring, the fish feel the vibrations as we walk over to the pond and almost bounce up for food. Please note the blue in this image is actually not as dark, more greeny, but my editing skills in Paintshop are poor.

Original: SOLD

Icelandic Freedom
A herd of Icelandic horses galloping and wheeling down from the snowy hills and mountains, and splashing into water? Who knows where they are going and why? They have Liberation and can please themselves. We’d all like that freedom. I’ve made a few changes to this painting, turning some of the horses so they are looking in different directions and adding more snow to the mountains. we artists are like that – never satisfied with what we’ve done. Finally its complete and offered for sale. As with all oils it will need a final coat of varnish in 6 months time when its fully dry. You can return it to me for varnishing or I will supply materials for you to do it yourself. Its difficult to judge paintings shaped as this one on pc screens, with width far longer than height as ever I am happy to email additional images for prospective purchasers.

Original: SOLD

Koi
A trio of vibrant golden orange Koi swimming through a cluster of waterlillies. The Koi are overlaid with shimmering gold and the water is a medely of blues from an electric cerulean to deepest Paris blue. The waterlillies are in a variety of greens highlighted with deep red and gold.

Original: SOLD

Koi 2
Trio of beautiful golden Koi, lovely vibrant orange/yellow in colour with golden highlights. The water is a mix of deepest blues through to green, and there are waterlillies in varying shades of red, gold and green (karma-chameleon??) floating on the surface.
